For and against essay

Nowadays, many people are bilingual and they even know more than two languages, since in school it is obligatory to learn your mother tongue and another foreign language.

On the one hand, being bilingual is an advantage since when you are going to travel to different places and countries because you can communicate with the people from there and  you can know their cultures, traditions or things different from your country, it is always good  know new places and acquire knowledge of them. Furthermore if the people are bilingual they can speak and meet more people than if they only speak one language, it limits them a lot to meet millions of people that exist in the world.

On the other hand, there are many people who have a hard time learning and perfecting any language other than their own since they will have more abilities in other things such as mathematics and for some people it is a very big effort just approves this foreign language. Moreover being bilingual sometimes it causes that people can confuse and mix languages and in the end it seems they don't know how to speak any language.

In conclusion I think it is better to be bilingual because you have more access to talk and meet other people and places for example when I went to London on vacation a year ago, I did not know how to communicate well with the people there and my father had to do it. Then I was angry because I prefer to be able to develop myself and talk to anyone in other countries although I must admit that I have a hard time learning languages.
