Dialogue- Paula De la Osa

Rick and Jessica, two teachers from the middle school are talking about the new school subject, ICT, discussing his rights and wrongs.

Rick: Jessica, I don’t know if this new subject is a good idea, call me old-fashioned, but I don’t see it useful, the kids by now away are born with computers, they know much more than the two of us together. What do you think?

Jessica: Well… In my opinion, I think is a good idea. It’s true that child knows a lot of things about technology, but I believe that, as adults, we have to teach them to use the technology in a good way, to prevent cyberbullying or that something bad happen to them.

Rick: I can’t believe what you’re saying! This new subject is going to take away to the child time from the important classes like language or science. When I was a child, we didn’t need to take classes for this stupid thing, if they want to learn about it, they should do it themselves.

Jessica: Oh, Rick, but they were other time, you can be always thinking in the past. I would not mind participating in the class, I think I could learn more and help them too.

Rick: Well, do what you want, I am not going to waste hours of my free time to teach them something they already know.
